It's hard to repair a DVD drive with a broken door. The simplest solution is to prevent your child from playing with it.
CD-Door Guard is the software that helps you to prevent crash of DVD devices. Just download and install CD-Door Guard, and the utility will start protecting your drive immediately. By simple clicking, you can lock the DVD device's door. After locking it, pressing the key on the front of DVD drive will not have any effect. CD-Door Guard can lock this device automatically at logging on, and unlock it every time you open the device's door from CD-Door Guard menu. CD-Door Guard does not only lock the door of DVD drive. It also watches ejecting disks and closes the door when you forget to do it. For example, it can close the door after burning disks. When you turn of your computer and forget a disk inside the DVD drive, CD-Door Guard will remind about it.
